If you’re looking at Toyota cars but aren’t quite sure which vehicle appeals to you the most, we invite you into our Toyota dealership to look at our 2016 Toyota models. While we love all of the new automobiles in this year’s lineup of Toyota cars, we know that some of them will suit your lifestyle better than others. Large families tend to gravitate toward SUVs and trucks, for instance, while other people prefer the look and feel of our sedans. No matter what your preferences and needs are, we have the right vehicle for you.
Being Toyota dealers, it comes as no surprise to us that the 2016 Toyota Highlander is one of our most popular vehicles. The ideal automobile for growing families and outdoor enthusiasts, this midsize crossover has mass appeal. With comfortable seating for up to eight passengers and all of the standard and available features you’d expect a new Toyota car to have, the 2016 Toyota Highlander is a must-see if you’re looking for a new automobile.
2016 Toyota Highlander Details
Similar to the 2016 Toyota Prius, the Toyota Highlander comes in multiple trims, including the LE, LE Plus, XLE, Limited, and Limited Platinum. The LE, LE Plus, and XLE trims have standard eight-passenger seating while the Limited and Limited Platinum trims have standard seating for seven passengers. If you buy or lease an XLE trim, you can choose to have seven-passenger seating by replacing the standard second row with captain’s chairs.
The LE trim has a standard 2.7-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 185 hp at 5,800 rpm and 184 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm. A 3.5-liter, six-cylinder engine is optional on the base trim and standard on the others. This engine generates 270 hp at 6,200 rpm and 248 lb-ft of torque at 4,700 rpm. The 2016 Toyota Highlander has a six-speed automatic transmission. The LE trim has standard front-wheel drive while the Limited Platinum trim comes with standard all-wheel drive. You can choose to have either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive if you get one of the other trims.
