The 2023 4Runner comes with a starting MSRP of $38,805. To mark the 40th anniversary of the nameplate, the 40th Anniversary Special Edition has been introduced. Based on the SR5 Premium trim, this model will feature bronze-colored 17-inch alloy wheels, a bronze-colored 40th Anniversary exterior tailgate badge, and a body-color-matching TOYOTA heritage grille. It is available in three colors: White, Midnight Black Metallic, and Barcelona Red Metallic.  

Every 4Runner is powered by a 4.0-liter V6 engine generating 270 hp and 278 lb.-ft. of peak torque. It is paired with a five-speed ECT-i automatic transmission. All models have a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. It offers fuel economy ratings of 16 mpg in the city, 19 mpg on the highway, and 17 mpg combined.
