Being Toyota dealers, we’re excited to tell you that you’ll now see some of the vehicles from the Toyota brand’s 2017 lineup mixed in with our 2016 Toyota models when you visit our location on 2nd Street to view our inventory of new Toyota cars. One of the vehicles we’re really happy to have at our Toyota dealership is the 2017 Toyota Prius. One of our most popular Toyota cars, the Toyota Prius was fully redesigned just last year. This year’s model boasts some styling touches that make it distinctly different from every other automobile on the road.
2017 Toyota Prius Details
The new Toyota Prius is similar to the 2017 Toyota Camry in that it comes in multiple trims. The Toyota Prius has three grades which each have two trims. The grades that this vehicle come in include Two, Three, and Four. The Toyota Prius has a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine that’s paired with an electric motor and a battery. The battery that your vehicle will have depends on the grade and trim you decide to buy or lease from our Toyota dealership.
The base Prius Two has a 1.3-Kw-hour, nickel, metal, hydride battery pack which employs the same technology that’s been present in the Toyota Prius since 1997. The Prius Two Eco and higher grades and trims have a lighter, smaller 0.75-Kw-hour lithium-ion battery. The 2017 model year marks the first time that the Toyota brand has used two separate batteries in the 2017 Toyota Prius.
2017 Toyota Prius Safety and Special Features
Being Toyota dealers, we’re proud that the Toyota brand has included the new Toyota Prius in its overall effort to make active safety features more accessible in vehicles that are mass produced. Four models have standard blind spot monitors, for instance. As you’ll see when you visit our Waite Park, MN Toyota dealership, you can get more active safety features by adding the Toyota Safety Sense P options package to your vehicle. This package will add a forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and active lane control to your automobile.
As it is with other Toyota cars, the model you decide to buy or lease will determine the standard features your Toyota Prius will have. As a general rule, the higher the trim you get, the more standard features your automobile will have. While that’s often true, even the base models of the Toyota Prius are well equipped. These vehicles have a 6.1-inch infotainment system touchscreen, 15-inch wheels, a 4.2-inch color information display, a rearview camera, keyless ignition, and LED headlights. Higher trims include softer cabin materials, improved seating, a seven-inch touchscreen, larger wheels, and Bluetooth connectivity.
